Lucas van Lierop

The Dutch-Canadian tenor Lucas van Lierop was a member of Dutch National Opera Studio in Amsterdam from 2018 to 2020. At Dutch National Opera, he previously sang the roles of Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro (2020), Man Ray in Ritratto (2021), Spoletta in Tosca (2022), Der Schneider in Königskinder (2022) and Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte (2023). Last season, he made several high-profile debuts, including performing with the Berlin Philharmonic as Ein Junge Diener in Strauss’ Elektra at the Baden-Baden Osterfestspiele under the baton of Kirill Petrenko, his Salzburg Festspiele debut performing with the Vienna Philharmonic as Diener 7 in Capriccio under the baton of Christian Thielemann, and his Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra debut as Olindo in Het Pand der Goden conducted by Otto Tausk.
