Maksym Nazarenko
Baritone Maksym Nazarenko grew up in Kyiv, Ukraine, and studied at the Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music (Kyiv Conservatory). In 2019 he was a finalist at the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Vocal Competition in Vienna, and since season 2020/2021 he has been a member of Dutch National Opera Studio. During both his first and second season here, he already performed several roles, such as that of Ein Kappadozier in the concert performance of Salome and the role of Sciarrone in Tosca. He also sang the aria ‘Why have the roses grown pale?’ by Mykola Lysenko at the International Young Patrons Gala. Due to the war in Ukraine, Maksym will stay with Dutch National Opera Studio at least until December 2022.
