Najmiddin Mavlyanov

Uzbekistani tenor Najmiddin Mavlyanov studied at the Tashkent Conservatory before joining the ensemble of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre in Moscow in 2010. There he sang, among others, Don Alvaro (La forza del destino, Alfredo (La traviata), Don José (Carmen), Hoffmann (Les contes d'Hoffmann), Rodolfo (La bohème), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Radames (Aida), Hermann (Pique dame) and Cavaradossi (Tosca). The latter role in particular brought him to several important opera houses, including The Royal Opera House, Deutsche Oper Berlin, The Metropolitan Opera, and Semperoper Dresden. Mavlyanov makes his DNO debut in 2022 with Turandot.
