Roman Burdenko

Baritone

Baritone Roman Burdenko studied at the conservatoires in Novosibirsk and Saint Petersburg. He has appeared on the stage at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Paris Opera and the Zurich Opera House. His repertoire includes roles as Jago in Otello, Scarpia in Tosca, Rodrigo in Don Carlo, Count Tomsky in The Queen of Spades, Ibn-Hakia in Iolanta and Alberich in Der Ring des Nibelungen. At Dutch National Opera, he has previously appeared as Tonio in Pagliacci and Alfio in Cavalleria rusticana (2019). 

Roman Burdenko sings the title role in Rigoletto, running from 2 to 29 September 2024 at Dutch National Opera.
