Scott Wilde
The American bass Scott Wilde studied at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York. He has built up an impressive international career at opera houses such as San Francisco Opera, Washington National Opera, Teatro Real in Madrid, Oper Köln, De Munt Brussels, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Palau de les Arts Valencia and the Salzburger Festspiele. His repertoire includes roles such as Janáček’s Rychtár in Jenůfa, Il Talpa/Simone in Puccini’s Il trittico, Arkel in Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande and Sarastro in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. At Dutch National Opera, he has previously sung the roles of Ein Polizeikommissar in Der Rosenkavalier and Erster Handwerksbursche in Alban Berg’s Wozzeck
In May 2024 Scott Wilde will sing the role of Simone (Gianni Schicchi) in Il trittico.
