Suzanne van de Wolfshaar
Suzanne has an education and background in facilities management. Facilities service provision is the thread running through her career, which has ranged from travel, a university hospital, sports and welfare to a manufacturer of sports shoes, clothing and accessoiries.
Developments within the facilities field are moving at a fast pace and it is important for an organisation like Dutch National Opera & Ballet to stay in tune with this. Only then we can continue to offer our visitors the ultimate experience as they have come to expect from us. The Facility & Building department, like all other departments, is an important link in this process. Ultimately, it is the interplay between all departments that makes a visit a success.
How the other users of the building, our employees, experience the building is also very important. What do they need to perform their work as well and pleasantly as possible? It starts at the stage entrance where employees are welcomed by our receptionists. A healthy working environment is very important here, and sustainable building management plays a crucial role. Think for instance of cleaning, furniture and the temperature in the building. The Facility & Building department also coordinates renovations and refurbishments of offices, studios, rehearsal rooms and halls.
Suzanne is dedicated to coordinating all such factors together with her team so that all conditions are met and every user can enjoy and function optimally within our theatre.
