Johanni van Oostrum
Soprano
The South African soprano Johanni van Oostrum has enjoyed worldwide success with her interpretations of roles in operas by Strauss, Wagner, Mozart and Janáček. She has previously worked with conductors including Sir Simon Rattle, Kent Nagano, Yannick Nézet-Séguin and François-Xavier Roth and stage directors such as Tobias Kratzer, Barrie Kosky and Vera Nemirova. At Dutch National Opera, she previously sang the roles of Die Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier (2011), Agathe in Der Freischütz (2022) and the title role in Rusalka (2023).
