Jump Dance Day 2025
Swinging, swaying, falling, whirling, leaping, rolling, twisting, and having fun. At Jump Dance Day, all young ballet fans may do what they enjoy most: dance!
The most fun workshops and a special performance will be held on Saturday 31 May, in the ballet studios and at the Main Stage of Dutch National Opera & Ballet, specifically for children aged 4 to 17.
Workshops: plié, chassé, assemblé, jeté
Dance along with the most fun dance of the year at the Jump Dance Day. We will organise workshops for four age groups, so not by level. The age groups range from 4 to 6 years (Plié), 7 to 10 years (Chassé) , 11 to 13 years (Assemblé) and 14 to 17 years (Jeté). Check the blocks below for specific information by age.
Performance and accompaniment
From 13:15 till 14:00, Dutch National Ballet will give a special performance. Parents, brothers, sisters, grandpa's and grandma's may attend the performance for €15 per person. All tickets are unplaced, so you can pick a seat in the auditorium with your child. You can order tickets below.
Please note: we do not accompany the children at the performance, but we do accompany them at the workshop. If your children are taking part in the Plié workshop and you would like to accompany them yourself (a maximum of one accompanying person per toddler is possible), it is necessary to order a ticket for the performance from 13:15 - 14:00.

Group Jeté
Please keep in mind that Group Jeté is divided into two groups: 1) pointe and 2) repertoire. Some pointe experience is required for the pointe group, which means that you can already stand on pointe and have had more than ten classes.

Photography Consent Form
Photos and videos will be taken during the Dance Day. If you consent to your child being filmed or photographed, please bring a signed consent form when registering for the Jump Dance Day.
